Revert back to what research was like for ASD before DSM-5 went into effect.

Created by D.S. on December 09, 2016

Hello I am a 15 year old male and am currently I need counseling for social anxiety and depression, I am 99% sure I do have Aspergers syndrome but due to changes to the manual, I'm not able to receive such diagnosis (which is hurtful to me) I hate being labeled but in this case this PROPER diagnosis will help me be able to live with myself easier. Social anxiety is usually a temporary thing and is "curable" with medications. Aspergers and other forms of ASD are almost always permenent and are treatable. I am heavily stressed because I feel I will just keep being medicated for the anxiety portion and them tell me to shut up when the anxiety is gone; but the rest of whats wrong with me is still their. And they wont diagnose me with what I know I have. I want to be able to feel better.
