There are many cases of women who were abused and battered along with their children. Contrary to what the evidence showed, these women were held responsible for the death of their children by omission and sentenced to prison terms that are immoral and inhumane. Buzzfeed did an article detailing some of the worst cases but there is plenty of documentation on other cases.
