Review and amend current Copyright and Patent laws to stimulate innovation and protect consumers and inventors.

Created by C.S. on September 23, 2011

Copyright, Patent, and Trademark laws in the United States are a broken system. Rather than allowing for an innovative thinker to create something new and protect his investment, the system is used instead as an anti-competitive measure by large corporations. Consider the current patent war between Apple and every major Android phone manufacturer. Rather than compete with Android based on it's system's merits, Apple would rather seek a court order banning the sale of competing products based an their patent of a rectangular device with rounded corners and a flat screen. This is only one example of obviously anti-competitive use of current laws. End patent trolling and frivolous lawsuits that only clog our court system by reviewing and amending copyright, patent, and trademark laws
