The United States has a duty to its military personnel during the Iraq and Afghanistan campaigns military personnel were forced to take a poorly tested drug Mefloquine to prevent contracting malaria. The drug has been linked to neural damage, resulting in depression among other permanent side effects , with potential suicidal tendencies. Dealing with disease is complicated especially on the battle field and no one expects it to be perfect, but if you wrong your protectors you are expected to make it right. There are military personnel out there that have been dishonorably discharged because of a drug they were forced to take. I would like our government to review cases to determine, if corrections should be made to records, and benefits restored to those who were wronged.
