review and reevaluate the allowable "food" purchases under the food stamp program

Created by A.R. on May 13, 2013

Currently in America we have both a childhood obesity problem and an abuse of social programs problem. I believe both of these issues can be limited by changing the allowable food purchases under the food stamp program. It makes no sense that those buying foodstuffs with money from a social program can consider sodas, candy, and premade cookies food. The definition of food for the purposes of the foodstamp program must be reevaluated.
