This petition is created to ensure the proper recording of History through Journalism. Our Journalist are slaughtered, murdered faster than they can graduate. This year 70 Murdered, Motive Confirm, 2 Media Workers and another 31 whose motive is unconfirmed (ref: cpj.org)
We ask the laws to be reviewed and amended to make it a Felony to obstruct through harm a Journlist during the course of their duties. For those Journalist who report from a war zone, including but not limited to "The War on Drugs" and "The War on Crime" we ask you to apply the Title and Reprecussions of "War Crimes Offenses" to their assailants and those who obstruct the prosecution of, or refuse to release information pertaining to their health and wearabouts.
