Review the case of SGT Christopher B. Smith and expedite the appeal process with new counsel OR grant clemency/pardon

Created by S.H. on May 22, 2014

SGT C. B. Smith, 11+ year veteran of 4 wartime deployments, was found guilty in a Court Martial trial in May 2014. We contend that SGT Smith is innocent and would have been found innocent if there were not a rush to judgment as is the current military and political climate. Also, military attorneys for SGT. Smith made mistakes affecting the result.

After the trial, 40+ people wrote letters to the post commander asking for clemency based on Smith's character & record. But, the clemency and appeal process in the military is backlogged and it is more than likely that SGT. Smith will serve the full 14 month sentence before anything will be done on his behalf. THEREFORE,we the undersigned plead for review of his case and retrial with new attorneys OR an immediate grant of clemency/pardon.
