Ethan Couch was 16 at the time he drove intoxicated into a group of good samaritans. He killed four people and left nine others injured. His blood-alcohol level was three times Texas legal limit at the time of the accident.
His legal defense claimed "affluenza" was the cause of his actions stating the then-16-year-old had grown up with a sense of entitlement and developed poor judgment after being coddled by his wealthy parents.
Further insult to the families of the victims was done when Texas District Judge Jean Boyd again decided against jail time and sentenced Couch to 10 years probation.
Couch's parents have used their wealth to influence the justice system.
This case should be audited for signs of manipulation, corruption, and injustice.
