review congressional travel and eliminate government aircraft and start using commercial air

Created by G.L. on October 11, 2011

Congress has the use of government aircraft, often traveling with far less than a full passenger count. The operational cost of some of these aircraft exceeds $5000 an hour, not to mention the purchase prices of millions of dollars. There is also the cost of having maintainers and all of the tooling, equipment and hangars required to do the maintenance. The cost of airport fees can also be eliminated. They should be required to use commercial air travel and file a travel voucher similar to how the military is required to travel commercially. If the men and women who protect this country have to use this method, it is good enough for the people that are elected by the men and women of this country.
