Review the current Medicaid determination system to be more fair with regards to "share of costs."

Under the current Medicaid system, individuals who may receive higher than normal forms of financial assistance (i.e.: Social Security, third-party disability pay, etc.) but live in states that one's income, after expenses, requires a significant "share of cost" (SOC) that for some individuals, who suffer from chronic illnesses, next to impossible to pay for proper health care. Single individuals, for example, are only allowed $600 against their income, to determine one's SOC. The guidelines need to be adjusted to today's inflation rates, and when necessary, raised or possibly waived for chronically ill individuals to allow for proper medical care. Even with the implementation of the Health Care Act, we must do better.
