review current policies regarding furloughs while allowing overtime within certain agencies.

Created by M.B. on June 24, 2013

While certain government agencies are seeing furloughs, namely the Navy for example, other agencies, such as the secret service for example, are eligible for overtime. How can family members of workers affected by the furloughs experience negative effects while workers in the secret service are able to work overtime? How is this fair for the Navy to be constrained and its workers receive reduced pay and the workers within the secret service rack up extra pay above and beyond their normal pay?
