Review the election laws for Congress to attempt to eliminate any monetary influence on their election or re-election.

Created by A.K. on April 03, 2013

Congress is ineffective in solving issues vital to the survival of the United States. Many of the problems stem from Congress spending too much time trying to be re-elected. They consistently block proposals and stall votes to gain favors or money from the wealthy after they leave office. We need to stop Congress from being dependent on the few and tilt it back to being dependent on the general public.

Possible Ideas:
100% public funded campaigns, Maximum on monetary gifts, maximum limit on campaign spending.

I am simply proposing the Obama Administration look into how .05% of America has such an impact on our government and makes it invective by working towards personal interest rather than the interest of the country. Congress should be "dependent upon the PEOPLE alone" not the few.
