The FDA is currently partnered with the Pharmaceutical industries so that the FDA passes new drugs quicker and sooner without establishing long term side effects of drugs. The FDA has a group called FDAAA which is like an alumni group for FDA members along with members of the big pharmaceutical company's. Once retired from the FDA officials go back to higher paying jobs for the pharmaceutical industry. Officials regulating the Pharmaceutical industry should not be aloud to fraternize with the employees of this industry. They themselves are not lobbying but are networking. A lot of agencies have alumni groups, like congress, but other agencies like OSHA, NRC, EPA do not. Why? Because they are regulatory agencies. The regulators and employees of the regulated should not be able to network.
