Review the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 as it forced states to infringe on the rights of adults 18-20

The National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 forced states to change the minimum age to purchase and posses alcohol in public to the age of 21, or suffer the consequence of a 10% loss in federal highway fundings (equivocating to millions of lost dollars in funding). This act was a successful attempt to bend the will of the states by the federal government. The enactment of this law violated the right of legal American adults (aged 18-20).
