Currently, in the United States, all males are required to sign up for the draft when they reach age eighteen. However, women, who are now allowed to serve in the military, are not required to sign up for the draft. Since women are now allowed to join the military (as opposed to when the draft was adopted) they should be imposed under the same laws as men.
Alternatively, the draft could be removed as a law.
