Review the requirements for purchasing a second home.

Created by A.P. on August 21, 2012

According to current government guidelines a person is required to have 6 months payments for the current property as well as 6 months payments for the property being purchased in reserve before he/she is eligible for a loan. This requirement is in place to keep people from pulling a "Buy and Bail" but in actuality it keeps people from being able to purchase a second home when they have outgrown their current home. Many are faced with this situation even though they have A+ credit and stellar loan history.

I understand the idea behind the rules but these rules need to be review so that successful people in need of a larger home are not faced with the burden of these rules created by dishonest people.
