Transgender people do indeed deserve the same basic liberties as everyone else. The major issue though with allowing whomever to use the restroom of the gender that they identify as opens a huge safety concern for women and children, both male and female. This allows much easier access for pedophiles and perverts to enter restrooms and claim to be transgender and assault and violate children and women. Women should be able to use the restroom without the fear that the man in there with her claiming to be a transgender is actually a sexual predator. There needs to be an alternative to this issue other than forcing women to be okay with men coming into the restroom with them because of their gender identity and woman going into the restroom with their sons.
