Review why you created a Petition system, and then consider how your response to Marijuana reform petitions has failed.

Created by T.S. on October 29, 2011

You have summarily dismissed all petitions related to reconsidering America's marijuana policy. Your canned superficial response to these petitions is insulting to the hundred of thousands who signed these petitions and the millions of Americans negatively affected by the governments policy.

Per your Petition website, you state: ...Throughout our history, Americans have used petitions to organize around issues they care about from ending slavery, to guaranteeing women's right to vote, to the civil rights movement.

All these example issues were accepted, government supported conditions until real leaders rose to confront the injustice that they represented. Our current marijuana policy represents a similar injustice. We petition the president to engage in an honest debate on this issue.
