Revise the benefits of being a Congressional member.

Created by A.S. on March 13, 2013

As many Congressional members spend decades in Congress and continue to not compromise and continue name calling, the American people deserve to have Congressional members representing them that will work to get bills passed, to include balancing the budget.

The revised Congressional benefits would include an 8 year term limit, that matches the term limits of the President. Limit the use of government travel to their respective districts to once a quarter and all other travel would be at their own cost. Congressional members would have to have a total of 20 years of Federal Service (to include military service) to receive ANY retirement, which would follow the military retirement rules for compensation. They would also have to be on the SAME health benefits as military members (Tricare).
