Right now we pay the same amount of rent for the 31 days in January that we do for the 28 days in February. This is bogus.
We should devise a new calendar; one where there are still 12 months, but each month has an equal number of 6 five-day weeks. At the end of each year the remaining five days would be made up in the form of a week-long year-end holiday. Those spare five days would be rent-free.
