we can all agree that the best interest of the children should always be first in custody cases, but with that said it is the best interest for the children to have great relationships with both parents. we ask that from the start of a divorce that the parents should have both 50/50 legal and physical custody of the children unless it is proven that one parent is unfit to care for a child. courts would have to provide in depth reasoning on why joint physical care is not at the best interest of the child.
child financial support should not be the soul responsibility of 1 parent, we ask for a gradual decrease in support to the lesser earning parent to give incentive for the lesser earning parent to maintain employment as well as seek carrier advancement and bring balance between parents.
