Revise the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. § 811) to remove the classification of cannabis as a Schedule 1 drug.

The federal government views cannabis as highly addictive and having no medical value. After decades of study and the fact that the human body has a Endocannabinoid System, cannabis has been scientifically proven to stave off certain cancer cells and reduce the effects of different types of epilepsy as well as litany of benefits to the human condition.
By revising the CSA the American people will have access to an abundant health resource that has long been denied for political and monetary reasons. Also, the states that have already legalized the recreational use of cannabis will be able to use the revenue from legal businesses with out the fear of prosecution from the Federal Government. The revision will unleash a plethora of benefits both medically and monetarily for all Americans.
