In the course of human events, one of the many things fought over is the ability own material we write, as well as sell and distribute. However, especially with the advent of the Internet, the people who buy and use the material provided has gone from permanent ownership to simply leasing the ability to use it once, and gone are the ability to copy to another medium, use the material we buy on something other than what we bought it on, or even reselling the medium to another after we are done in some cases. The worst of these offenders are the makers of music, movies, and PC software.

THIS NEEDS TO STOP!

Copyrights need to be kept only as long as the creator uses said copyright, and allow for people to use them whenever or wherever they wish. There are other ways to fight piracy...
