Through rigorous trials Marijuana has been made legal for recreational use in 2 of our states, however not much has been done to educate the people on the effects both short and long term. By allowing for states to control the legalization we are exercising our rights as individual states, but if we do not educate before legalization we open the country up for an immense amount of unforeseen problems. Marijuana legalization should be controlled by the federal government giving states the power to add to the law and not take away. On a law of this magnitude our government officials need to look at the policies/laws and find ways to make the legalization safe before giving it to the people, Once studies are done behind the effects of Marijuana legalization should be swift and uncontested.
