Unfortunately, many people with disabilities are not being provided with jobs because of their condition. I would like to take into consideration a person's ability to work, not based on their disability, but whether they can perform the job correctly. In a survey that was conducted in the United States, it stated that only 35% of disabled people were employed. This was compared to a 78% employment rate to the general population, which proves that people with disabilities are being prevented from working. Two thirds of people with disabilities said that they wanted to work but couldn't find a job. People with disabilities should be given the chance to work because it's their right as an American citizen.
