Revising the Medicare card would serve two purposes.
1.The Medicare card uses a social security number as an account number. Because of identity theft, It is advised to never carry one's social security card on one's person, but seniors, the most vulnerable people, carry their Medicare card all the time.
2. At the same time, make the NEW Medicare card a photo ID card. This card could be used for Medicare purposes, and also as a universal voter ID card. Seniors who no longer drive often have problems voting, and a Federally issued card would serve as proof of Identification for not only voting, but for airport security and other places an ID card may be necessary.
