Hunger in America is caused by the continued prevalence of poverty, not by the lack of food. The price of living and supporting a family is an astounding amount higher than one working full time on minimum wage earns monthly. It is impossible to support a family while working on minimum wage. If this doesn’t change, more and more workers on minimum wage will be turning to picking up another job, whether it be selling drugs, or flipping burgers, to support their family.
