"Revise NCLB Now" is a petition aimed at realistically improving our nation's educational system. More than 80 % of our nation's K-12 public schools have received failing marks and labels because current academic expectations are too high. In 2014 NCLB expects 100% of K-12 students to meet or exceed all academic standards. The result is many schools have been unfairly given negative labels and negative consequences. Secretary Arnie Duncan, Congress, and President Obama need to establish realistic expectations for our nation's schools. They need to immediately and completely revise the outdated NCLB legislation and replace it with legislation that will improve all schools, so our nation's students can grow into great citizens for our country and the world.
