As it presently stands the US Government requires that those seeking to naturalize, and become US citizens, be present in the US for a period of 4 years and 1 day prior to applying for naturalization.
However, in the modern economy, many of the US based companies offer positions outside of the US in the Europe, the Middle East and Asia. This means that Legal Permanent Residents (LPR) employed by these companies are at risk of not being able to naturalize should they be outside of the country for an extended period do to work.
Please support me in asking the US Government to reduce this barrier, by exception, not policy. Using an exception form to allow an applicant to apply for an exemption from this rule could drastically enhance the process of naturalization.
