Revise the requirements for background checks for employment

Created by W.L. on April 01, 2013

There are many individuals who are being held hostage by non-violent convictions of crimes and are unable to find work. It is important that in order to avoid the possibility of former offenders involving themselves in nefarious activities due to desperation, the US government revisit the issue of employment background checks. How can offenders be reintegrated into society successfully if not given a foundation upon which to build upon. I respectfully request that ex-offenders with non-violent convictions, misdemeanor convictions, and ex-offenders who have completed their terms of judgement be made eligible for employment and not subject to background checks unless applicable to pertinent job criterion and not uniformly eliminated from hireability.
