Revise the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution to allow further restrictions on gun posession and licensing.

Created by W.M. on December 17, 2012

Citizens of the United States of America have suffered repeated tragedies as a result of licensed guns owned by fellow citizens. The slaughter of children and adults at the Sandy Hook School in Newtown, MA is the latest such event. We do not believe the Founders of this nation had this consequence in mind when they wrote the Second Amendment of the US Constitution. We further believe that citizen ownership of guns with high fire-power is not in the best interest of all US citizens. We therefore urge that a constitutional amendment be initiated to replace the Second Amendment in order to enable legislation that further restricts the rights of Americans to own and use guns.
