We the People of the State of Kansas have found the Federal Government unreliable with the management and security of our gold. We wish to retrieve our gold from the Federal Reserve. Thereby securing our state's economy, and ensuring a prosperous financial future for our fellow Kansans. We find Texas to be moving in the right direction with their request for the return of their gold. We the People of Kansas have decided to follow Texas’s example. These decisions are made in the wake of the financial crisis in Greece. The crisis displays a probable yet realistic fate to our national economy. That said, we find it crucial to stop federal overspending and wastefulness of tax funds. Therefore, this petition is to protect and defend the economic well-being of Kansans.
