Revisit the deportation of the Romeike family.

Created by J.S. on March 04, 2014

The Romeike family fled from Germany in 2008 seeking political asylum in the United States. The family wanted to move to a country where they could homeschool their children in accordance with their own education and religious beliefs.

The Romeike family was initially given asylum by the U.S. but this was overturned when the government ruled that German laws that outlaw homeschooling do not constitute persecution.

America was built on the fundamental basis of allowing people to practice the religion that they believe whether it be Christianity, Islam, etc. This family wants to live in the U.S., legally, and raise their children and give them the opportunities that we all take for granted. Please revisit this issue and allow this family to stay and be constructive members of society.
