Revitalize federal support and funding of the Superconducting Super Collider (SSC)

Created by S.S. on April 12, 2015

The Superconducting Super Collider (SSC), dubbed as potentially one of the greatest machines in the field of physics and of mankind, was cancelled because of unfortunate circumstances. Our gov. should resume the funding of the remainder of the project, whose unforeseen demise was equated as a "serious loss" for science, because:
1.) U.S. Scientific Superiority. Had the SSC been completed, it would have been THE greatest supercollider in the world with a circumference of 54.1 mi (87.1 km) and an energy capacity of 20 TeV (compared to Europe’s LHC's 13 TeV).
2.) Wealth of Contribution to Science. Particle physics offers answers to key questions about the very building blocks of Creation itself. The SSC has the capacity to change the face of all science with its great potential for discovery.
