The United States is one of the only post industrial countries that has a poor light rail transit system. We need to invest in light rail to reduce traffic in our cities and on our highways. Producing a up to date light rail coast to coast system would create jobs across the country and would also help us reduce green house gas emissions. This would also provide the middle class American with an affordable way to travel the country.
