revive the Office of Technology Assessment

Created by M.R. on May 13, 2014

Established 1972, and closed in 1995, this agency published reports that provided legislators with nonpartisan analyses of science and technology issues. In 1995, the office was abruptly shut down in a misguided attempt to cut spending. However during its tenure this office consistently helped save the taxpayers and our government valuable money by providing unbiased analysis and recommendations on proposed government programs and spending. Given the current fiscal crisis, there is a dire need for a re-establishment of this agency.
