NASA and its associated organizations have, for far too long, been neglected by the federal government. The space program, which put this nation at the top of the list in science and technology, is now scrounging for funds, and our nation is falling behind. If the United States or humanity in general is to advance itself any further in this world, more attention must be given to the exploration and possible colonization of space. While it is realized what the financial implications of a move such as this would be, this focus, more so than military spending or the "spare change" that goes into the pockets of our government officials (if you will pardon my manners) is imperative.
