The ban on modern fully automatic firearms made post 1986 should be lifted. The machine gun ban of 1986 should have never been instated to begin with because it directly violates the 2nd amendment. If someone wants to own modern fully- automatic firearms for lawful purposes then there is no issue. The "need" argument is not a valid reason for banning something.
