Revoke the 501(c) 6 trade association tax exemption of the National Football League by executive order or change of law

Created by M.C. on January 30, 2014

The National Football League is protected as a tax-exempt 501(c) 6 trade association. This exemption was enacted in 1966, long before massive TV contracts, licensed merchandise and other sources of income were envisioned. The NFL should be treated as any other U.S. corporation in regards to taxation of income. Neither the NBA or MLB claim the exemption status, it is time for the NFL to pay their share as well.
