The decision to ban cloves cigarettes has been counter-intuitive and undesirable. There seems to be little sense in banning a very specific type of cigarette when all cigarettes are unhealthy. Menthol based cigarettes have remained legal as well, though they are arguably just as unhealthy as cloves. Importing cloves cigarettes from countries such as Indonesia would be good for trade and the economy.
If people are going to smoke, allow them to pick their poison.
