The citizenship of any American that joins a foreign terrorist organization should be revoked immediately. There is a two fold benefit. One: The individual can then be targeted as a foreign combatant/terrorist without fears of repercussion for killing/maiming an American citizen. Two: It would be more difficult for the individual to return to the United States to recruit or commit terrorist acts on United States soil.
