Black Hills Power is proposing a new transmission line called the Teckla-Osage-Rapid City transmission line. This transmission line is an additional instalment to a badly maintained network that in 2012, burned 62,318 acres of land (known as the Oil Creek Fire). This new transmission line will run through the Black Hills National Forest near the national monument called Mt. Rushmore. For the protection of the wildlife, the townships, Mt. Rushmore, the experimental forest, and the parks and recreational resources within, I urge this administration to forbid this construction that would cause a forest fire due to potential malfunctions caused by downed power lines. And all current Bureau of Land Management (BLM) permits for this construction of this power transmission line be revoked.
