Revoke DEA authority related to the FDA scheduling or rescheduling of drugs.

Created by S.S. on September 23, 2011

Currently it is the FDA that has authority over the federal schedule of drugs yet any changes that need to occur to the schedule have to be approved by the DEA as well as the internal workings of the FDA.

This is redundant in process and is wasting tax payers money for unnecessary interaction and unwarranted oversight of a process that can operate without the interference or influence from an outside agency.

We do hereby seek that any DEA authority in the approval process concerning the FDA scheduling or rescheduling of drugs be revoked.
