Informed citizens of America,
The National Football League hauls in a gross, federal corporate tax-free income of 9 billion per year. Americans are paying artificially high rates in order to subsidize special breaks for sports leagues. That means you may be paying a slightly higher tax rate than is necessary to subsidize Richard Sherman or Tiger Woods. This tax-exempt status also allows people like Roger Goodell (NFL Commissioner) to earn outrageous salaries. According to USA Today, he earned 29.49 million in 2011. That is a higher income than the majority of fortune 500 CEOs! It is time that the NFL, the NHL, and the PGA pay their share towards the benefit of the U.S. Economy! By signing this petition, you support a reform of the IRS tax code on federal corporate tax exemption.
