Revoke Florida Statute 1009.286 to Swindle Surplus College Credit Hours

2011 Florida Statute 1009.286 requires that all state colleges require students to pay double their rate of tuition when credit hours required for a degree are exceeded by a mere fifteen percent.
It is the intention of the people, primarily the young professionals of this nation, to revoke this statute on the grounds that it exhibits an irreverent disregard for the learning process while undermining young professionals. A college education is a costly expenditure at it's present rate, and without a surcharge drives many struggling students into debt. The unnecessary surcharge hurts taxpayers due to the many subsidized loans used to attend college, and has the potential to hinder the underprivileged and science-degree seeking students from earning degrees.
