Revoke the Hughes amendment from the May 19th 1986 firearm owners protection act.

Created by B.N. on February 18, 2015

The firearm owners protection act did indeed protect many of our civil rights, however the Hughes amendment in the act (Which closes the automatic firearm registry for civilians) does nothing but induce an artificial price hike/scarcity of automatic firearms for civilians, note that there has been only 2 murders committed with LEGALLY registered automatic firearms since the NFA was enacted in 1934. Do note that the process to acquire will be as strenuous as it is currently and this proposal is in now way trying to reduce the steps in acquiring an automatic firearm. This proposal would only reopen the automatic firearm registry.
