It is hypocritical to think that with the amount of money our President, his cabinet, and the rest of congress make yearly, that tax payers will front the bill providing lifetime protection to presidents under Obamas new "Lifetime secret service" law. We, as American citizens posses the right to bare arms, and protect ourselves, our property and our family. So, asking tax payers to pay for something the president can do if he bought a gun himself, is ludacris. Not to mention, for someone who wants stricter gun control being allowed to provide unlimited and unrestricted protection to himself, and not allowing the same benefits to the american people. Mr. President, you are an american, and being a law biding citizens can buy a legal gun, why not protect yourself!?
