Revoke Liberty University's tax-exempt status for funding the anti-ObamaCare lawsuit and engaging in politics.

Created by D.K. on December 20, 2012

Liberty University is funding the anti-ObamaCare lawsuit, they supported Mitt Romney during his campaign, inviting him to speak at graduating ceremonies, and use the university's resources for campaigning purposes.
Pastors and heads of 501(c)(3) non-profit groups are free to endorse candidates as private individuals, but the Internal Revenue Code does not allow them to use institutional resources, such as official publications, Web sites and other forms of communication, to back or oppose candidates.

Furthermore, as a religious institution, their university should not receive money from the federal government. Liberty University receives more money in federal scholarships and grants than any other university in Virginia, including real academic institutions like Virginia Tech.
