Nurse Kaci Hickox, a CDC employee, spent time in West Africa treating Ebola patients with Doctors Without Borders. Upon returning to the United States, New Jersey officials placed her under quarantine. With the help of White House-visiting civil rights lawyer Norman Siegel, she was able to leave quarantine and return to her boyfriend's home in Maine. Maine is trying to force quarantine on Kaci, but she is refusing. As a Registered Nurse, I must say that this is a complete lack of concern for public health and safety. She has no idea if she is contagious or not and is willing to infect the public with Ebola. Her nursing license must be removed or suspended immediately, as this is a total lack of responsibility or concern for public health, and is conduct completely against nursing.
