It was clearly written upon the creation of our governmental system that there was to be a separation of church and state. This signify's a request to abolish the tax exempt status of religious organizations. Considering where our current nation's debt stands not only will we be able to achieve a true separation of church and state, but it will help to significantly reduce the national debt.
